Probably I have 2 lefties I can chose from.  One is a reliever and used to coming into games mid inning.  The other a starter and rather have him start clean inning.

I would rather have tried to stretch another inning out of Akin than use a guy for the 3rd straight day after he had thrown 41 pitches Saturday and Sunday.   I didn't see any burning need to take Akin out there.   Get another inning out of him, then go to Zimm, try to get through 6 and then let Tate/Perez/Bautista finish it off.
